Online Library Orientation February 15th and March 2nd

Do you need to learn how to use the library resources more efficiently? Are you having trouble narrowing down a topic for that term paper due next month? Are you ready to throw your computer out the window because you can not get Word to format Turabian?


If you answered yes to any of these questions, the upcoming Online Library Orientation is for you!

This orientation will be in an online web-conference format. You can participate from anywhere in the world, with an Internet connection. You will be able to see the presenter live on video and submit questions live. It is a totally interactive experience. A first for Luther Rice Seminary & University!

The orientation will be held February15 and March 2 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm EST (GMT-05:00). Content will be the same as the on campus library orientations (to be held on campus February 10, and 17 @ 2:00-3:30).

Students will learn how to:

  • Identify and develop manageable topics
  • Use effective strategies to find information resources
  • Locate books
  • Source journal articles
  • Find Internet resources
  • Evaluate resources
  • Properly cite resources
  • Master Turabian formatting
