Steps to Complete Financial Aid Process
Both steps must be completed in order to apply for financial aid.
Step 1 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- The 2010-2011 FAFSA is valid for summer 2010, fall 2010, and spring 2011.
- Record or locate your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from your completed FAFSA (this number is located on the confirmation page of your FAFSA and/or your FAFSA form).
Step 2 Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO)
interview.
- The 2010-2011 VFAO interview is valid for summer 2010, fall 2010, and spring 2011.
- Please note you only need to complete one interview per academic year.
- All students applying for loans must complete a Master Promissory Note (see Processing Option during interview). You only need to complete an MPN once every 10 years.
If you have already completed your VFAO interview and still need to sign a Master Promissory Note, visit www.StudentLoans.gov (sign in using the same PIN that you used for your FAFSA).
